I understand my works as palimpsests, which are characterized above all by their complexity. And I mean that both in the quite literal sense, as well as in the sense of interpretation. I am not a friend of slogans or battle cries, although I understand my works very well as political and humanistic. I challenge the viewer to work out his own meaning. This can sometimes turn out quite differently, but that is art.
